Black Irish Band

Hailing from Sonora California the Black Irish Band have been together for 19 years and have released 19 CD albums to date.  
The band specializes in Italian, Irish, and Americana Music.  At the core the band is a Folk-Acoustic five-member group that 
performs on traditional instruments like the banjo, guitar, concertina, fiddle, melodeon, accordion, mandolin, stand-up bass, and 
trumpet.  All the band members sing lead vocals as well as back-ups.  The band can perform in a fully acoustic manner (un-plugged), 
which makes them perfect for weddings and special events located outdoors without electricity.

Over the years the band has performed for many large performing arts centers and festivals including the Kennedy Center, 
Smithsonian Folklife, Singapore World Music Festival, and the California State Railroad museum.  To date, the band has 
performed for over 75 weddings and special retirement parties.  The band has performed on sailing ships, steam train excursions, 
aircraft in flight, and in people's backyards.   

The band has a large selection of songs and styles that include, Americana folk, Bluegrass, 60s Rock & Roll, Country, Jazz, 
Swing, Love songs, Italian, and lots of Celtic Music.  The band can also perform special requests for weddings.
